Why Jostens' Renaissance?
 
  • To create a school in which everyone has and feels a sense of belonging (staff and students)

FAQs

  • How do I qualify for Renaissance levels? These are determined by your last semester GPA (May 2026) from grades at SCHS or HMS.

  • What are the levels? Cardinal level qualifiers earned a 3.0-3.49 semester GPA, Silver is 3.5-3.99, and Platinum 4.0 or higher.

  • What do the levels mean? All qualifiers earn a monthly reward but the higher your GPA, the more rewards you earn.
  • What if I didn’t attend SCHS or HMS last semester? Submit your grades from last semester to Lauren.stuart@d49.org, screen shot or PDF!
  • My PowerSchool App shows my GPA would qualify me. Why am I not on the list? What is showing in PowerSchool is your cumulative GPA and for Renaissance, we go by semester GPA so everyone starts with a clean slate. That number is not the one we are looking at.
  • When do we celebrate? Students should check their email this week for a list of monthly celebrations and to confirm your level.

How do I qualify? Below are the levels for students to qualify for our monthly academic rewards.  Students can qualify or un-qualify each semester, keep in mind your GPA is NOT cumulative to qualify.  9th graders that attended HMS last year will automatically be considered via their end of year GPA in 8th grade. Students that did not attend Horizon for their 8th grade year or SCHS last year can submit their end of year grades to lauren.stuart@d49.org.
